At Nav, we’re using data and technology to give small business owners a more effective way to manage their business’s financial health. That’s why we’re honored CB Insights named Nav to their Fintech 250 list, which recognizes the most promising, private fintech companies from around the world. The list was revealed during Future of Fintech 2017 event in NYC on June 27th.
“The financial services industry will see more change in the next 10 years than it has in the last 100. And that transformation is being driven by a group of smart insurgent startup companies. The Fintech 250 are the most promising of these insurgents,” said CB Insights CEO Anand Sanwal.
We’ve never thought of ourselves as “insurgents,” but it makes sense: The American Dream deserves a revolution of sorts. It’s too damned hard to grow a business these days. Nav’s data shows just how surprisingly difficult it is.
By the way, we think CB Insights CEO, Anand Sanwal, and his team are some of the smartest, funniest people around (and not just because we made their list). If you love start ups and awesome data, we recommend you sign up for their awesomely entertaining newsletter.
Here are some cool facts about the Fintech 250:
- Over 2,000 companies were nominated or applied for the Fintech 250 (and just 8% were selected).
- 23 countries are represented among the Fintech 250 companies.
- These 250 emerging private companies have raised $14B across 240 deals in 2016
Nav, along with the rest of the companies on the list, are being recognized for their innovative technology in front of an audience of 1000 senior executives from around the world and news outlets including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times, Reuters and Bloomberg.
