For frequent travelers who are fans of the Alaska Airlines franchise, this card offers so much good news. Earn 40,000 Bonus miles when you make at least $2,000 in purchases within the first 90 days of opening your account.In addition to this generous sign-on bonus offer, you’ll get a discounted companion ticket immediately upon completing the $2,000 bonus offer requirements. 

Earning is a breeze, as well. Receive 3 miles for every $1 spent directly on Alaska Airlines purchases and 1 mile for every $1 spent on all other purchases. There’s a chance to boost earnings with restaurants, too, thanks to the Alaska Airline Mileage Plan Dining Rewards program. Enrollment in this additional program is automatic, and it grants you a bonus of 4 miles (for a total of 5 miles) at eligible restaurants. While this bonus dining feature isn’t widely advertised, it is a favorite feature of cardholders who dine out frequently.

This card does charge an annual fee, however, and it’s not waived the first year like some other cards. It’s $50 for the company and $25 per card. Each cardholder earns rewards and also gets access to the free checked bags perks for the cardholder and up to six other passengers on the same flight. There are no international transaction fees with this card.
