Running a small business is hard work. Small business owners—like all high achievers—see the work and its rewards as inseparable. They’re passionate about it; it puts fuel in their tanks and gives them meaning and purpose.
It was like that for me. Before opening my first small business in my early twenties, I felt restless and unfulfilled. The day I quit my nine-to-five and struck out for myself was the day life began. Entrepreneurialism is in my DNA.
But let’s not kid ourselves—what starts as a dream can quickly become a nightmare without proper guidance and tools. Throughout my career, I’ve met hundreds of business owners for whom access to the simplest of things—trade credit and better supplier terms—meant the difference between success and failure.
When I co-founded Nav with Caton Hanson, we set out to tear down the obstacles between small business owners and their credit data. By providing transparent insights into personal and business credit, cash flow data, and more, Nav smooths the road to better financial health and more options. And that, my friends, is how dreams become real.
