Staples Business Advantage is Staples’ business-to-business account platform for companies that want custom pricing, account tools, and flexible payment terms. Staples groups its business options by company size, with net-30 terms available to qualified businesses and higher-tier features like spend controls, approval routing, and dedicated account support for larger accounts.
Staples’ business account options are grouped by company size, with a free account for businesses up to 20 employees and a Business Advantage tier for businesses with 20 to 500 employees. Having a Business Advantage account does not immediately qualify you for net-30 terms. It simply opens the door to Staples’ perks such as next-day delivery and expense integration.
As of July 2026, Staples does not officially confirm whether they report net-30 accounts or where. Staples does not provide a ready link to apply for net-30 terms. In order to apply, you’ll have to speak to a representative who will then take your information. But before you do that, you will need a Business Advantage account, for which you can sign up online.
A Staples representative gave Nav the following list of criteria Staples considers when evaluating whether to approve a business for net 30:
While no specific criteria were reported, other Staples sources say that companies should have at least 20 employees to qualify for net-30 terms. Staples does offer a free assessment that, while it may not tell you if you’ll get approved, may tell you if your company qualifies to apply for net-30 terms.
Staples Business Advantage can fit into a business-credit strategy because net-30 accounts create payment history, and payment history is one of the things business credit bureaus use when evaluating a company. On-time payments matter most, so the real value is not the invoice term itself but whether the account reports and how consistently it is paid.
Without knowing what (if any) business credit bureaus a Staples Business Advantage account reports to, it's challenging to know
