A Bold Way Forward for Small Businesses: What’s New at Nav

Nav started 10 years ago with a relentless focus on creating better, more transparent financial products for small businesses who are consistently failed by our financial system. Today, we celebrate our new brand experience as a signal that we’re more committed than ever to leading small businesses to the most objective and relevant financial options.

Why now?

Small remains big: 99% of businesses in the US are classified as small businesses, and yet only 20% are able to get loans through traditional banks. As small businesses face more economic headwinds than ever, lenders are actually making it harder to get loans and making borrowing more expensive.

We see the challenges you’re facing. We see how the status quo is leading you to irrelevant information, painful rejections, and wasted time. We’re here to rewrite what’s possible and push the limits of what you can achieve as a small business owner.

What’s changed?

Our improved experience was designed to make financial health for your small business simpler, smarter, and more relevant than ever.

Our new logo and visual identity speak to the ambition and promise in every small business owner’s story. Our “pulse” symbol moves up and to the right with energy and dynamism, its repeated lines signaling the life and growth that business owners unlock with Nav’s help.

The simple construction of our new logo lockup speaks to the clarity and objectivity that Nav provides. Our refreshed color palette brings warmth and visual interest and helps set us apart in a financial sector awash with blues (you’ll see a nod to our heritage colors in our expanded palette). Our photography and visual style will zoom in on the hardest working people out there — small business owners — by reflecting the inspiring work they do every day.

Those are the changes you’ll see first. But our new experience is so much more than a visual system. With the new look comes more relevant financing options for your business and more transparency than ever around how your qualifications impact your options. We remain the only place to see what you can qualify for before you apply — and now you can also get insights on previous applications and how to qualify for options you’ve been declined for in the past.

You’ll also see enhanced cash flow insights to help you understand where you stand and what to do next. And alongside financing, you now have access to an expanded network of business services like accounting, payroll, and tax services. Lastly, our mobile experience has been refreshed so you can get everything you need for financial health, anytime and anywhere you need it.

Together, these changes represent a clear path forward: leading a new era for small business financial health as the only platform that combines powerful business insights with the largest network of financial providers to give you confidence that you are making the right decision for your small business.

We wouldn’t — we couldn’t — do this work without you. While we know small businesses are critical to economies and communities, we also recognize how much they matter to individual lives and livelihoods.  You are at the core of our continued growth as we lead more small businesses toward better financial health.

Here’s to a big, bright future for all things small.
